About the Non-Stick Surface Wear

"I am noticing that the non-stick surface is wearing down ever so slightly. I kind of expected this, as Advancer shelves do the same over time. It's probably due to the high amount of flux in my clay. I'll probably have to add a thin layer of kiln wash eventually to prevent plucking."

This is normal wear and tear and does not affect the overall lifespan or performance of the shelves.

    "I'm constantly shocked at how much I'm fitting into each kiln now, especially with flatware. It's been roughly a 25% increase on average with flatware I can fit per firing."

    "My kilns have always underfired near the top by about half a cone with my old shelves. With yours, I'm getting much more even heat distribution throughout the kiln. I'm no longer worrying about what pieces I put at the top."
